Accessibility
This site was built to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we aim at
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That's the benchmark most commonly referenced in relation to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it's the target we designed and built against rather than something we bolted on afterwards.
What's built in
- Text and background colours meet the AA contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 throughout.
- Every interactive element has a visible focus ring, so keyboard users can always see where they are.
- The whole site can be operated by keyboard alone, including the menu, the accordions and the sign-up dialog.
- The sign-up dialog traps focus while it's open, closes on Escape, and returns focus to where you were.
- A "skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
- Animation is disabled entirely for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
- Touch targets are at least 44 × 44 pixels on touch devices.
- Every form field has a real label, the correct input type, and an autocomplete attribute.
- Form errors appear next to the field they belong to and are announced to screen readers.
- Page content is readable and usable with JavaScript unavailable.
- Icons are inline SVG marked as decorative, never emoji, so screen readers don't read them out as noise.
- Headings follow a logical order, and the page structure uses real landmarks.
- Nothing scrolls sideways at any width down to 320 pixels.
Where we know we fall short
We'd rather name the gaps than claim perfection:
- The site has not yet been through a formal audit by an independent accessibility specialist, nor been tested end-to-end with every major screen reader. Our claims are based on how it was built and on our own testing.
- Web fonts load from Google Fonts. If that request is blocked or slow, text falls back to a system font — readable, but not identical.
